Madam Speaker, I will be voting today for H.R. 4133 because I agree with its two basic premises. The alliance between the United States and Israel, including military support, is of critical importance. And we must prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons capability.
Raleigh, NC - "Has the like of this happened in your days or in the days of your ancestors?" asks the prophet Joel. "Tell your children about it, and let your children tell their children, and their children the next generation" (1: 2-3). That is why we gather today: to remember, to speak, to teach and learn.
Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor the life and legacy of an inspirational and beloved North Carolinian, Dr. LeRoy Walker. Coach Walker, as most of us knew him, passed away on Monday at the age of 93 in Durham, the North Carolina community he made his home for six decades.
Mr. Speaker, I rise today to congratulate this year's NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Champions, the Lady Bears of Shaw University!
As fans of the game know all too well, North Carolina schools have a tradition of excellence in collegiate basketball. That success became even more legendary in 2012. We have a new champion in our midst, the Lady Bears.
Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor Raleigh's First Baptist Church on the occasion of its bicentennial celebration.
Durham, NC - American politics since the 2008 elections has offered quite a ride both to practitioners and to those attempting to understand and interpret the ebb and flow. My emphasis today will be on how the Congress has functioned in this environment, which has featured intense and increasing partisan polarization.
Raleigh, NC - Good afternoon! I am honored to share this stage with so many leaders who have served our state and our nation with such distinction...and to share this room with the many Citizen Soldiers, first responders, elected officials, and public servants who work day-in and day-out to keep us strong and resilient.
Children's Hospital Lobby, UNC-Chapel Hill - I very much appreciate the invitation to share this Martin Luther King observance with you. It is entirely fitting that UNC Heath Care set this time aside, for the work you do in this community and across the State is directly related to Dr.
By Congressman David Price in Holly Springs, NC -
Good morning. It's always a pleasure to join with the Governor, Secretary Crisco, our senators, other community leaders, and members of our world-class, high-tech workforce for occasions such as this. Fortunately, we've had a good many such events lately, but I think we would agree that this one is extraordinary!
By Congressman David Price -
I would like to thank the distinguished Chairman and Ranking Member for their interest in the Federal Railroad Administration's (FRA) High Speed and Intercity Passenger Rail (HSIPR) program. I appreciate this opportunity to offer my views on the program.
