WASHINGTON, DC (June 13, 2019) – Today, Congressman Price (D-NC) announced Justin Wein, former Deputy Chief of Staff will serve as Chief of Staff, replacing Asher Hildebrand, who is beginning a new position at Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy.

“For nearly 15 years, Asher Hildebrand provided invaluable counsel and leadership in our office,” said Congressman Price. “Starting as an intern and rising to senior leadership positions including Legislative Director, District Director, and ultimately Chief of Staff, Asher provided exceptional service to the constituents of the Fourth District while embodying the highest ideals of public service. I wish Asher the best in his new role as a professor at Duke University and am certain his insight into the political and policy processes, combined with his experience as a leader, will serve his students and the university well.”

“I am pleased to announce that Justin Wein, Deputy Chief of Staff since 2015, has assumed the role of Chief of Staff. Justin’s extensive experience in the House and his leadership in my D.C. office will ensure the people of the Fourth Congressional District continue to receive the highest level of constituent services.”

Justin Wein joined the staff of Congressman Price in 2012 to manage Congressman Price’s work as Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security. He then became Congressman Price’s Legislative Director and serves as the primary staffer for the bipartisan House Democracy Partnership. Justin joined the office with more than seven years of experience working for House Appropriations Committee Chairwoman, Nita M. Lowey. Justin received his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in Political Management from The George Washington University.
