PRICE ENCOURAGES CONSTITUENTS TO SIGN UP FOR ACA COVERAGE BEFORE DEADLINE
Washington, DC -- Congressman David E. Price (NC-04) urges residents of the Fourth District to sign up for health coverage under the Affordable Care Act before the 2017 deadline of midnight tonight, January 31. Interested constituents can learn more and shop for plans at healthcare.gov.
“The Affordable Care Act provides affordable health care coverage to tens of millions of Americans, including over 545,000 North Carolinians who have secured coverage through the marketplaces,” said Congressman Price. “It is not too late to sign up for 2017 coverage, and I encourage anyone interested to explore plans on healthcare.gov.”
Since the Affordable Care Act was enacted in 2010, the uninsured rate in North Carolina has fallen by 33 percent. In addition to the hundreds of thousands of marketplace enrollees, millions of North Carolinians with employer-sponsored health insurance have seen their coverage improve, with free preventative care and new protections for women and those with pre-existing conditions.
