July 13, 2018
Press Release

WASHINGTON, D.C.  (July 13, 2018) – On Friday, July 13, 2018, Congressman David Price (D-NC) issued the following statement regarding news that Raleigh would not be selected as the site for the Army Futures Command (AFC).

“I’m disappointed that North Carolina’s Research Triangle will not be home to the Army Futures Command (AFC). As North Carolina’s 4th District Representative, I am extremely proud to serve a community with exceptional academia and research, skilled workers, high quality of life, and a dynamic economy. North Carolina is a growing hub of technological innovation as well as the home to the Army Research Office and one of the largest military populations in the country. I thank my colleagues in the North Carolina delegation for their support in making the case for AFC’s placement in Raleigh, and I will continue to advocate for robust federal investment in our state as North Carolina’s sole appropriator.”
