Research Triangle Park, NC 27709

The NC Biotechnology Center is seeking federal funding for the Entrepreneurship and Research & Development Initiative, a program to turn promising biotech research efforts into commercially viable small businesses.  The initiative targets academic researchers and novice entrepreneurs who are interested in starting, or who have already started, biotechnology companies in North Carolina, and provides training in business development and management.

Our nation’s economic recovery and long-term competitiveness depend on job creation.  Small businesses are the nation’s primary engine of job creation, and federal investments in tech-based small businesses can help create high-skilled, high-wage jobs.

North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center‘s Rural Business Finance Program - $750,000

North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center
4021 Carya Drive
Raleigh, NC 27610

The NC Rural Economic Center is seeking federal funds for its Rural Business Finance Program.  The program is designed to support small business development in the most economically distressed counties in our state, where many traditional banks and lenders do not operate.  The program would utilize federal funds to provide marketing, technical assistance and fellowships to help finance small business development and expansion.

Our nation’s economic recovery and long-term competitiveness depend on job creation.  Small businesses are the nation’s primary engine of job creation, and federal investments in small businesses can help create jobs, particularly in rural areas.
